With more than £250 million of public and private projects already delivered, Corby has a clear momentum to its growth that provides a confident environment for investment decisions.
Corby has also been included in the assisted area status for the following wards Central Ward, East Ward, Rowlett Ward, Shire Lodge Ward, Stanion and Corby Village Ward, Weldon and Gretton War. This means that businesses setting up in those wards are eligible to obtain public support from funds such as Regional Growth Fund Round 6 whose deadline to apply is 30th September 2014.
The Corby opportunity has already been recognised by the UK’s leading house-builders who are helping to deliver the population growth, major road investment is on site with the A43 link road due for completion in Spring 2014 and Corby is continuing to cement its place amongst the top 5 fast growing boroughs in the UK.
Visionary regeneration programmes will see the town’s population double in size to 100,000 over the next 17 years. The Core Spatial Strategy sets a target of 13,580 new jobs to be created in Corby up until 2031 from its 2001 base. Over time, the town will assume increasing importance as a regional and national economic centre.
As part of the Love Northamptonshire campaign NEP is offering a wide range of funding opportunities for start-ups and established businesses. Established businesses in Corby are also eligible for the up to £10,000 grant from Velocity and free business advice from Northamptonshire Growth Hub.
